We are Scott and Lidia Moore.

I was born in Florida and Lidia in Nicaragua. We have been married forever, with 4 daughters, 10 grandkids, and our first great grandson due in April. I spent 37 years in retirement planning and financial services.

We have lived in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and now Guatemala.

In the US, we lived in Florida ( Sarasota and Naples ), Asheville and Winston Salem, North Carolina, and Greenville, South Carolina.

We retired at 55 and 60 years old and our plan was to travel from Mexico to Argentina and then decide which was our favorite and stay there, but when we arrived in Xela, Guatemala we fell in love with the city and the people and decided to stay. We have been here just over a year and still love it.

Cool mountain weather, low cost of living, high quality of life, friendly locals…whats not to love !
